  • Coordinated the development of multi-year plans for 7 medical, nursing and midwifery partnerships in Malawi covering the period April 2025 to March 2030.
  • Led the development of the annual partnership work plans and budgets covering the period April 2025 to March 2026 for 7 Seed Malawi medical, nursing and midwifery partnerships.
  • I led the settling down of a newly recruited MEL Manager by orienting him on the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) processes for Seed Malawi including the newly adopted Seed Global indicators and their application in the respective Seed Malawi partnerships.
  • I am part of the taskforce for the implementation of the integrated screening pilot. I represent Seed Global Health Malawi in meetings with Ministry of Health on the reforms suggested under the Malawi Health Sector Strategic Plan (HSSP) III. Seed Malawi is supporting the implementation of one of the reforms focusing on Integrated Screening in Rumphi and Nkhotakota districts. The most recent meeting I attended focused on the review of draft Terms of Reference (ToRs) for the Advisory Committee on the Health Reforms. I am also part of the task team on the implementation of a Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessment for the Malawi's Ministry of Health supported by Seed Global Health.

  • Led the development of 7 strategic partnerships for medical, nursing and midwifery education, practice and policy. Under this, I led the development of key partnership planning documents including long term partnership plans, MEL Frameworks, annual plans and corresponding annual budgets.
  • Spearheaded the orientation of partnership teams on Seed Global Health’s policies and procedures.
  • Coordinated annual partnership work plans and budgets implementation processes and tracking their progress including ensuring the translation of learning into continuous programmatic learning and improvement.
  • Coordinated the first partnership measurement (MEL Framework assessment and Situational Analysis) for 7 Seed Global Health Malawi partnerships. I worked with consultants in the development of data collection tools, data collection and report writing.
  • Worked closely with Seed’s Boston-based MEL team to produce the needed tools and templates to document program activities and outputs, and to develop effective mechanisms that creatively disseminate those findings. Specifically, I led the development of a template for MEL Output Tracker which is used under partnerships to track progress (results assessment) at output level as well as development of Annual partnership work plan, partnership annual budgeting and partnership quarterly planning and reporting templates.
  • Under the 2025 to 2030 Country strategic plan operationalisation, I led the socialization of newly adopted Seed Global Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) indicators with the Seed Malawi partnership teams including Ministry of Health representatives especially those from the districts.
  • Coordinated the baseline data collection, capacity assessment and situation analysis on the Seed Global indicators which included orientation of the Data Clerks from government hospitals and Seed Malawi Partnerships MEL Focal persons; and retrospective data collection for all the clinical indicators as well as graduate tracking.
  • Introduced and coordinated delivery of centralized Quarterly partnership planning, review and learning workshops where representatives from all Seed Malawi partnerships would participate in sharing lessons learnt from partnership activities implementation, development of quarterly work plans and funds requests as well as development of partnership quarterly reports with an aim of expediting the development and submission of quarterly partnership deliverables like funds requests and reports by partners.

  • As the Head of the institution in Malawi, I led the socio-economic and political situation analysis in Malawi and advise UK office on development priorities for International Service in Malawi.
  • Led the development and implementation of International Service Malawi programme with local partners in Malawi including their identification and support. This included identification of partners for the Malawi programme.
  • Led the proposal development processes for the Malawi programme based on the priority areas in line with the organisational strategic plan. One proposal I supported was the Inclusive Sports for Development which aimed at using sports to promote awareness raising on rights of persons with disabilities including their participation in mainstream society.
  • Coordinated the identification of opportunities for volunteer placements and developed project plans (outlining placement objectives, outcomes, outputs and activities) for the respective placements in collaboration with local host partner organizations.
  • Oversaw the effective delivery of all stages of the volunteer journey under the DFiD funded International Citizen Service (ICS) programme in Malawi including ensuring the safety and security of all ICS volunteers (international and national) in Malawi.
  • Provided supervisory support to ICS Programme Officers, Finance Administrator and Volunteer Team Leaders including supporting their professional development journey.
  • Facilitated effective monitoring, evaluation, learning and quality assurance of the ICS programme in Malawi.

  • Continuously assessed major political and socio-economic events in the country, examining development work being carried out by other agencies in the country, and assessed Progressio’s development options/priorities in that context.
  • Led the implementation of all Progressio's organizational policies and strategies in Malawi in coordination with the Southern Africa Sub-regional Management Team.
  • Conducted Capacity Assessments for partner organizations and coordinated the placement of Capacity Development Specialists (Development Workers) for capacity building purposes. For example, I initiated a partnership with the Civil Society Nutrition Alliance (CSONA) where we placed a Development Worker building the capacity of the Malawi CSONA on nutrition communication and advocacy targeting Government Ministries and NGOs.
  • Coordinated the development and implementation of the DFiD funded International Citizen Service (ICS) programme in Malawi, monitoring its effectiveness, and reporting on it to the UK office in coordination with the Southern Africa Sub-regional Manager based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
  • Developed and maintained relationships with local partner organizations and ensured a smooth relationship with the Sub-regional and London offices.
  • Worked closely with the Sub-regional Funding Officer to identify, develop and produce funding proposals to support the Malawi program’s activities. Under this, amongst others, I participated in the development of a regional project targeting Malawi and Zimbabwe with funding from the Big Lottery Fund (BLF). The programme was called 'Conserving Our Land, Producing Our Food' and had components of Farmer Field School, Village Savings & Loans (VSL), Climate Change and natural resources management. I also developed a proposal which got funded by the Dublin City Council complementing the Big Lottery funded initiative.
  • Oversaw the recruitment, support and supervision of Progressio Malawi staff, Development Workers and ICS Volunteers. This included facilitating Performance reviews for all the staff under Progressio Malawi.
  • Within the framework of Progressio’s plans, was responsible for the preparation of the annual country work plans and budgets, based on detailed work schedules, and coordinated their implementation ensuring value for money.

Company Overview: Mzuzu Catholic Development Commission (CADECOM) was the Relief and Development arm of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi under Mzuzu Diocese.

  • Oversaw the implementation of all the Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction and management activities in Mzuzu Diocese. This included conducting risk assessments, developing risk prevention and mitigation plans with target communities and supporting their implementation.
  • Led the situation analysis, project design and proposal development for Mzuzu CADECOM. Facilitated development of proposals which got funded by the agencies like CRS, Caritas Australia, Cord Aid, and Care International-Malawi.
  • Developed a database for Mzuzu CADECOM for all the projects linking them to the Organizational Strategic plan outputs, outcomes and goals.
  • Trained all Mzuzu CADECOM staff members in Monitoring and Evaluation guided by the organizational Monitoring and Evaluation Framework.
  • Sat in the Mzuzu CADECOM senior management team meetings and managed to handle management issues with maturity and confidentiality they deserved.
  • Coordinated all Monitoring and Evaluation activities of all Mzuzu CADECOM projects, documenting all key lessons learnt and advised management team on corrective measures where deviations or issues affecting achievement of results were noted.
