The groundBREAKERS programme, launched in 2001, is a highly effective youth peer-to-peer initiative in South Africa. It focuses on HIV prevention and engages over 25,000 young people annually. The program operates in schools, community centers, sports centers, and youth-friendly facilities, engaging with nearly 1.5 million young people in all nine provinces. LoveLife recruits around 1,000 groundBREAKERs every two years, and the programme helps create jobs for young people by enhancing confidence and energy.
