Deployed to assist countries in responding to humanitarian emergencies at short notice as a member of Oxfam’s global humanitarian team.

Recent deployments include the following:

• Served as Team Leader for the GFFO project, overseeing the Baseline Assessment in Puntland and Somaliland between February and March 2023.
• October to December 2022 Six Multispectral Needs Assessments for South Sudan for Pibor, Akobo, Juba and Lake states (November 2023 to February 2024) Final evaluation for GAC project in Akobo and Pibor South Sudan April 2024
• Co-led the Mid term evaluation of Oxfam Syria’s WASH Response in Rural Damascus and Livelihood Response in Deir-ez-Zor Governorates (April 2021)
• February to March 222, Lead evaluator for ECHO Final Evaluation for Puntland, South Central Somalia, and Somaliland.
• Conducted May 2022 and August 2022 Multisectoral Needs Assessments for Ukrainian refugees in Bucharest, Romania.
• Responsible for overseeing and managing all MEAL activities for the Partner-led humanitarian response as MEAL Advisor at Oxfam in Romania and Moldova, May to September 2023.
• Led team and conducted final evaluation of Oxfam Syria DGD WASH and Livelihood program from November 2021 to January 2022
• April 2021 to October 2021, Ethiopia CO as MEAL advisor.
• September 2020 to March 2021, Information for Global Covid project; Strengthening of MEAL System of Oxfam Somalia Humanitarian Response.

Responsible for overseeing monitoring and evaluation activities as the M&E lead for the Libya country program. Established effective M&E systems and procedures for Health and Protection projects. Key activities performed included:

• Established a Client responsiveness system (included feedback boxes, hotlines and Exit interviews) to obtain complaints and feedback from patients vising IRC assisted facilities in Tripoli, Sirte and Misrata.
• Led the creation of Performance Measurement Plans for various projects undertaken by IRC in Libya.

As the Head of MEAL for Save the Children Malawi Country Programme I was responsible for developing and running systems that enhance programme quality, accountability and learning. In addition I performed the following tasks:

• Played a pivotal role in the design and proposal development of new programs, including creating theories of change and logical frameworks.
• I had overall responsibility and oversight over MEAL activities of all projects under the country programme in Malawi that has over 40 active projects worth over $50 million a year
• In addition, I also coordinated the preparation of Save the Children’s 2019 – 2021 Country Strategic Plan (CSP) in addition to the preparation of the quarterly and annual reporting for the Malawi CO
• Implemented accountability system for Save the Children Partners and Consortia members
• Provided training on the core humanitarian standards (CHS) and Accountability to Affected Populations for INGOs staff involved in the humanitarian response.

As a key members of the Consortium Coordination Unit of the The DFID-funded Strengthening Nutrition Security in South Central Somalia (SNS) (2013 – 2017), I was responsible for:

• Provided technical support for early warning and surveillance systems
• Conducted training for Monitoring, accountability and learning to the consortium managers (Concern universal, Oxfam, Save the Children and ACF).
• I led the development of a joint MEAL framework and ensured that monitoring and evaluation plans were developed and closely followed up with consortium partners.
• I developed and rolled out an accountability system that included a feedback/complaints mechanism and shared information with beneficiaries for the nutrition consortium. I introduced a mobile data collection for use by all the Consortium partners.

Liberian Agricultural Upgrading Nutrition and Child Health (LAUNCH) was a USAID funded 5 year (2010 – 2015) US$40 million program aimed at improving food security of vulnerable households. As the M&E lead, I performed the following I led a team of 3 M&E Officers, 6 M&E assistants, 1 Environment Compliance Officer, 2 Data Clerks, and a Data Manager. We were responsible for monitoring and evaluation and reporting of the program, as well as implementing a food security and nutrition early warning system and ensuring environmental compliance.

World Vision Haiti MYAP was a five year (2008 – 2013) USAID Title II $90 million program whose goal was to reduce food insecurity and increase the resiliency of vulnerable and extremely vulnerable rural households living in Haiti.As the lead Design, Monitoring & Evaluation expert, I conducted the following tasks:

• Coordinated and supervised all M&E related activities including annual project planning, data management, monitoring, elaboration of tools, design of studies, early warning system
• Managed the program’s Performance Management Plan and Indicator Performance Tracking Table (IIPTT) Conducted data analysis and reporting on program performance, food security and nutrition surveillance.

• Analysis and follow up on disputed Change of Supply reads (D300) Responding to phone calls and follow up on queries through telephone and emails
• Attending and contributing to team briefs Preparation of a weekly performance report for submission to the team manager
• Preparation of presentations and visibility materials for customers and interested parties.

Under this role, I performed the following tasks:

• Provided leadership in monitoring and evaluation of the emergency operations to WFP field staff and implementing partners; designed databases for use by implementing partners and WFP staff;
• Built capacity of cooperating partners and government staff in monitoring and evaluation; designed and implemented post-distribution monitoring with WFP international and local partners;
• Provided training and technical support to WFP's cooperating partners and government programs in design, monitoring, and evaluation processes and activities.
