Recent deployments include the following:

  • Served as Team Leader for the GFFO project, overseeing the Baseline Assessment in Puntland and Somaliland between February and March 2023.
  • October to December 2022 Six Multispectral Needs Assessments for South Sudan for Pibor, Akobo, Juba and Lake states (November 2023 to February 2024) Final evaluation for GAC project in Akobo and Pibor South Sudan April 2024

As the Head of MEAL for Save the Children Malawi Country Programme I was responsible for developing and running systems that enhance programme quality, accountability and learning. In addition I performed the following tasks:

  • Played a pivotal role in the design and proposal development of new programs, including creating theories of change and logical frameworks.
  • I had overall responsibility and oversight over MEAL activities of all projects under the country programme in Malawi that has over 40 active projects worth over $50 million a year
  • In addition, I also coordinated the preparation of Save the Children’s 2019 – 2021 Country Strategic Plan (CSP) in addition to the preparation of the quarterly and annual reporting for the Malawi CO
  • Implemented accountability system for Save the Children Partners and Consortia members
  • Provided training on the core humanitarian standards (CHS) and Accountability to Affected Populations for INGOs staff involved in the humanitarian response.

As a key members of the Consortium Coordination Unit of the The DFID-funded Strengthening Nutrition Security in South Central Somalia (SNS) (2013 – 2017), I was responsible for:

  • Provided technical support for early warning and surveillance systems
  • Conducted training for Monitoring, accountability and learning to the consortium managers (Concern universal, Oxfam, Save the Children and ACF).
  • I led the development of a joint MEAL framework and ensured that monitoring and evaluation plans were developed and closely followed up with consortium partners.
  • I developed and rolled out an accountability system that included a feedback/complaints mechanism and shared information with beneficiaries for the nutrition consortium. I introduced a mobile data collection for use by all the Consortium partners.

Liberian Agricultural Upgrading Nutrition and Child Health (LAUNCH) was a USAID funded 5 year (2010 – 2015) US$40 million program aimed at improving food security of vulnerable households. As the M&E lead, I performed the following I led a team of 3 M&E Officers, 6 M&E assistants, 1 Environment Compliance Officer, 2 Data Clerks, and a Data Manager. We were responsible for monitoring and evaluation and reporting of the program, as well as implementing a food security and nutrition early warning system and ensuring environmental compliance.
