• Achieved excellent media coverage for MhEST by facilitating live interviews, generating high quality radio, television, newspaper and online feature stories.
• Supported programme leads in promoting MhEST activities, campaigns and fundraising by writing success stories, producing documentaries, montages and audio materials, designing newsletters, brochures, leaflets, banners and event posters (artwork).
• Prepared communications for special activities, took photographs and videos during events, edited and produced them into engaging web and social media content.
• Maintained MhEST website using WordPress content management system, created and managed multiple MhEST social media channels.
• Designed weekly social media posts which reached an average of 2,500 viewers/post despite a marginal monthly social media budget of $2 (K1,500).

Key achievement

Pioneered the MhEST Media and Communications department, designed and implemented the MhEST media and communications strategy, improved the organisation’s corporate image and visibility - grew Facebook page following by 700% from 300 to 2,500 subscribers despite minimal sponsored posts.

• Produced and presented 1000+ radio and television programmes ranging from sports, entertainment and current affairs i.e.
• News Outlook, The Breakfast Show, Good Morning Malawi, Mwatandala, Afro Urban and Born & Bred.
• Set up, Shot, conducted and edited more than 500+ radio, television and online interviews featuring a variety of high ranking and low profile sources from diverse professions, cultures and settings.
• Produced 20+ outside broadcast VIP special events (Presidential Diary) from both the field and the station.
• Engaged with different communities as field producer / presenter during outside broadcast VIP special events and quarterly content collection field trips.
• Generated a plethora of high quality visual (photography) and text (story writing) content for MBC website.
• Worked with Programmes, News and Current Affairs department to develop human interest stories on a daily basis and in a 24/7 environment.

Key Achievement

Spearheaded MBC online section and establishment of MBC website in 2013, crowned Carlsberg Cup Media Awards 2015 Journalist of the Season (Radio) and FMB Under-20 Youth League Media Awards 2016 Best Presenter (TV).
